We are interested in understanding how organisms interact with the environment at a behavioural and genomic level. We focus on insects, with a particular interest in pollinators like many bee species and alien invaders like the harlequin ladybird. We combine analysis of behaviour through in-person observation and remote monitoring, with molecular analyses to characterize patterns of expression of genes associated with behvaviours of inetrest.
There are currently six members in the team, including the group leader, PhD and master students, and a lab technician. We support a diverse and inclusive environment and we always welcome new members of the team, from undergraduate students during their final year project to postgraduate students and postdocs.
