I joined the FABLab in autumn 2022 as a QUADRAT doctoral training partnership (DTP) student. I am broadly interested in the evolution and biology of plant-pollinator interactions, particularly among the Hymenoptera (bees, ants, wasps). My research addresses the chemical ecology of plant-pollinator networks in coastal ecosystems with a special focus on the environmental availability and use of micronutrient resources by endangered communities of bumblebees inhabiting Scottish machair. I am also interested in the application of population genomics approaches to resolve questions of gene flow and local adaptation among (isolated?) island populations.
